Earlier today, I attended a House Financial Services Committee hearing on the collapse of MF Global and had the opportunity to question Michael Roseman who left MF Global in January 2011.

Applications are being accepted for (3) $1500 Celebrate Munford scholarships available to MHS graduating seniors or home-schooled students who will be attending an in-state college or university. The link is attached for your convenience. The deadline to submit an application is March 15, 2012.

A benefit yard sale is planned for this Saturday, February 4th for the Poole family. The event will be held from 8 am to 2 pm in the MHS Special Education classroom area at 1080 McLaughlin Dr. There are many items offered for sale - (new) ceiling fans, furniture, crafts, dishes, decorating items.... Donations are also being accepted to help the Poole family through this difficult time.

Tonight the House will vote on H.R. 3835 which will extend the pay limitation for Members of Congress and Federal Employees. I plan to vote yes to ensure my pay will not be raised. I cannot vote to raise pay for myself or any other Member of Congress when the unemployment rate in Tennessee is so high.

We must get rid of Obamacare. Period.
