Veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom can meet with the Memphis VA Medical Center (VAMC) and their special group called the OEF/OIF (Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraq Freedom) team. The OEF/OIF team
has a specifically dedicated set of professionals whose aim is to assist with the transition of Soldiers from the military into the VAMC for health care and coordination of benefits.
We have developed many specialized programs, clinics, individual counseling, and outreach activities to help reintegrate each soldier back into his/her community. The OEF/OIF team can be reached at 901-523-8990 ext 7319 or 901-577-7319 or online at www.memphis.va.gov/freedom.asp

  • Provide counseling and other services to eligible veterans and their families.
  • Refer veterans to appropriate community agencies and service providers.
  • Serve as a liaison between veterans and other VA facilities.
