NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS TO BE HELD BY THE CITY OF MUNFORD BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 6-51-102 and 13-7-203 four (4) public hearings will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Munford City Courtroom, located at 69 College Street.
The hearings are to receive public input regarding the following:
(1) An ordinance to amend Article VI, Provisions Governing Residential Districts, of the Municipal Zoning Ordinance of Munford, Tennessee to include Section 67 PVD (Planned Village Development) District provisions;
The recent flood destroyed everything in their office.
On Friday May 21 from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., the law firm of Ward Williams, PLLC located at 99 Doctors Drive in Munford will host an all day fundraiser and food drive for Tipton Cares.
Local businesses Sleep Solutions, LLC and May Medical Group are partners in this fund-raising effort.

The Youth and Go Getters of Covington First United Methodist Church will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 22 in the lower parking lot of the church at 145 W. Church St.
In case of rain, the sale will be held in the upper parking lot at the covered handicapped entrance.
Kings Hill Church will host a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 at the church located at 123 Kings Hill Rd., Covington.
Plates are $7 each.

A vintage style show and luncheon will be held Saturday, May 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, 228 Quito-Drummonds Road.

The Tennessee mandatory boating education law is similar to the driver’s license law. You acquire the study materials, study, and then take an approved boating safety exam administered by an approved representative of the TWRA.
Any Tennessee resident born after January 1, 1989 must show the TWRA-issued wallet Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety exam.

The next AARP Driver Safety Course of the year will be offered August 24th and 25th (Tuesday and Wednesday) at the Covington Senior Center, 401 So. College St., Covington.
